GHAZIABAD: Three women candidates contesting elections for post of councillors in different wards of Khoda have been booked for violation of model code of conduct in the past two days. On Sunday, cops booked two candidates of Ward No. 25 of Khoda Nagar Palika Parishad for alleged violation of the model code.

The Rajiv Vihar area in Khoda is part of Ward No. 25 of the municipal body. The two women booked on Sunday include Congress candidate Sunita Sharma (44) and an Independent Sunita Yadav (39). The latter has been accused of distributing free umbrellas in the ward, which also happens to be her election symbol.
