India BPXI rode on captain Sanju Samson’s century on the second day of the warm-up game to end the match in a draw against Sri Lanka in Kolkata. The home side was losing wickets at regular intervals but Samson blocked one end and scored runs at will. He had small partnerships with Jiwanjot Singh, Rohan Prem and B Sandeep. He brought up his century shortly after Tea. The BPXI began on Sunday morning after Sri Lanka had declared their first innings at 411 for the loss of six wickets on day one. The visiting batsmen scored runs at will against the Indian side. Sadeera Samarawickrama made his case for selection before first Test with a 74-run innings off 77 balls.
