US President Donald Trump on Sunday said that he would never call North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un "short and fat", after months of trading personal insults and threats of war with the North Korean leader.
"Why would Kim Jong-Un insult me by calling me 'old,' when I would NEVER call him 'short and fat?' Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend - and maybe someday that will happen!" Trump tweeted. Trump made the comment after attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Vietnam.
Earlier, North Korea's foreign ministry in an official statement said "Reckless remarks by an old lunatic like Trump will never scare us or stop our advance," according to The Associated Press.
A dotard is an arcane term for a senile or weak-minded elderly person.
