Pravat Tripathy suspension revoked

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik on Friday revoked the suspension order on party MLA Pravat Tripathy. Tripathy, who is representing Banki Assembly constituency in the Assembly was  suspended from the party immediately after his arrest by the CBI in October 2014 for his alleged involvement in chit fund scam.

However, the party did not cite reason behind revoking Tripathy’s suspension. The revocation of Tripathy’s suspension order came four days after the Supreme Court rejected the CBI petition challenging the bail granted to the legislator by Orissa High Court on March 3, 2015. Tripathy said, “I will now work more vigorously for the party and the people  of my constituency.”
