HYDERABAD: Quora Users of the world unite - in Hyderabad this Saturday, for you have nothing to lose but your ignorance. Quora, the question-and-answer site where questions are asked, answered, edited and organised by its community of users, has been what social media pages such as Spread The Word etc have been doing - connecting those with questions to those with answers. Quora’s office is based in Mountain View, California and the company was founded in June 2009.

The  Quora World Meetup will take place at 91springboard, Kavuri Hills from 3 pm to 7 pm on November 11. The free event also welcomes your friends for a discussion on a wide range of areas like Entrepreneurship, and startups, Photography, Science and Technology, Artificial intelligence, Education today  and Philosophy.  Entry is free.

“We will have top writers from Hyderabad speaking, interacting and answering all your questions. Also a lot of other influential Quora writers and readers will be attending, who you can mingle with,” say the volunteers. “We’re a team of volunteers who have been doing the meetups since March 2017. It is our fourth meetup and it happens to coincide with the World Meetup happening all over the world,” the say. The volunteers expect about 100 participants to turn up for the event.

With social media getting even more real time, what do the Quora users think will work in favour of Quora. How does it plan to reinvent itself? “Quora’s exposure onto other platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp hasn’t dwindled Quora’s usage, rather made a lot more people aware of the platform. This meetup will show us what the users of Quora are really looking for. The intellectual discussions and debates that stem out of questions posed on Quora as well as live gatherings are the reason we still meetup,” they inform.
