Windies to tour Pakistan for T20I series in March next year

are all set to travel to for a three-match T20I series in March next year after the cricketing boards of the two countries signed a five-year agreement.

Earlier, the tour, which was due to take place in November, was postponed due to adverse weather conditions in Lahore.

Confirming the news, Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi said that it has signed an agreement with Cricket (CWI) under which the two sides would play a T20I series each year in and in for the next five years.

Sethi also confirmed that the proposed West Indies' tour to has also been rescheduled to March next year, which will be first of the series agreed between the two boards.

"There were talks to play the series in November, but due to unforeseen weather, we didn't take a risk so we will start our first series from March next year followed by the one in the USA," ESPNcricinfo quoted Sethi, as saying.

"From then onwards, they will keep coming to for the next five years and we will reciprocate by playing in the But the series we will play in the will be a tri-series with the third team to be decided later," he added.

Both CWI and the Players Association (WIPA) have given their approval for the series after ensuring that the security arrangements in would remain the same as it was during the World XI series and the lone T20I against Sri Lanka played in Lahore recently.
