Rosatom - currently only foreign nuclear operator in India -showcases innovation at Mumbai fair

Russian Rosatom (State Atomic Energy Corporation) -- currently only foreign nuclear major operating plants in India -- showcased its latest technology at the 9th edition of India Nuclear Energy (INE), an annual international exhibition held on November 9 and 10 in Mumbai.

Rosatom presented the latest developments on its innovative technologies including radiation monitoring systems and equipment and other solutions for nuclear power industry at the exhibition, according to a statement issued by Rosatom.

The focus was on the development of nuclear projects in India, and the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant in Tamil Nadu, in particular.
Andrey Zhiltsov, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Mumbai, Nikita Mazein, Vice-President of Rusatom Overseas, as well as Andrey Shevlyakov, Acting CEO of Rosatom South Asia attended the presentation.

UBM India, India’s leading exhibitions organiser launched the international exhibition and conference, India Nuclear Energy for the civil nuclear energy domain. The two day show is the only expo exclusively dedicated to supporting and promoting the civil nuclear energy industry in the country.

INE 2017 is co-organised by DAE (Department of Atomic Energy) and supported by NPCIL (Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd.).

The expo is being participated of over 65 exhibitors, with a brand new sector – the Non-Power application of Nuclear Energy - being added to last year’s repertoire.
