NEW DELHI: Asian Hotels (West), Balkrishna Industries, Bank of India, Britannia Industries, Indian Bank, Jet Airways (India), Larsen & Toubro, MphasiS and Optiemus Infracom were among the stocks that hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE in Friday's trade.

Over 40 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE in Friday's trade, which included stocks such as Page Industries, Rain Industries, RattanIndia Infrastructure, Tata Global Beverages, Vakrangee and Voltas as well.

However, Cambridge Technology Enterprises, Dena Bank, Mahindra Logistics, Reliance Communications, Stampede Capital and Videocon Industries were among those 13 stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE in Friday's trade so far.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 16 points down at 10,293, while the BSE Sensex was 44 points down at 33,207 around 10.30 am (IST).

Among the 51 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of Larsen & Toubro, GAIL, ITC, UltraTech Cement, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, State Bank of India and Ambuja Cements were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Aurobindo Pharma, Asian Paints, Tata Motors, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Tata Consultancy Services and Reliance Industries were among the top losers.
