Students and teachers in medical colleges across the state will now get first-hand knowledge of latest developments in the field of healthcare right from the expert doctors via online.
The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) is all set to introduce its much-awaited digital project aiming to improve the knowledge and skills of students and faculty. The MUHS will launch its digital platform officially on November 11.
The digital lectures will be available online on the portal that has been developed by the varsity in collaboration with Omnicuris Healthcare -a global digital platform sharing informative videos and content about the latest trends in the field of healthcare.
Students and teachers will get a free membership and they will be allowed to access the latest information. The MUHS has issued correspondents to all-affiliated colleges for registering the students and teachers for this project.
The Health University will broadcast video lectures every 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday of the month between 2pm and 3pm. The schedule of expert lectures till April 2018 is ready. The university has also appealed to expert doctors from state to contribute through video lectures and share latest trends in medical field.
"Quality in education is a need for all health professionals in orated to maintain high quality and safety in patient care. This can be met quite effectively through the e-learning platform," said K D Chavan, registrar of the university.
"Users will be able to access necessary lectures right on their laptops and mobile phones. Moreover, experts need not travel up to the University headquarters to record videos. They can register it online through the MUHS website," said Chavan.
