US company TeleTech buys Ahmedabad-based startup Motif

MUMBAI: Ahmedabad based digital trust and safety company Motif has been acquired by Nasdaq listed US based customer engagement solutions firm TeleTech Holdings for an undisclosed amount. Edelweiss served as the financial advisor to Motif for this deal.

Motif is a niche business process outsourcing company that was founded 10 years back and specialises in providing omnichannel contact centres for ecommerce companies, travel and financial services companies. It operates out of Ahmedabad in India and Manila in Philippines.

“With its focus on building engaging and safe customer relationships across channels, TeleTech is a natural fit for Motif,” said Kaushal Mehta, chief executive officer, Motif.

Teletech, on the other hand, also provides customer contact centre capabilities which helps businesses expand business and manage customer relations better. The US-based major operates across six continents with more than 48,000 people.

“Companies everywhere are rushing to invest in building safe environments to protect their customers and their brands from digital fraud,” commented Ken Tuchman, chairman and chief executive officer of TeleTech. “Our acquisition of Motif adds dynamic digital brands to our client portfolio, deepens our digital and analytics capabilities and expands our footprint in India.”
