Vande Mataram recital by 50,000 at SMS Stadium enthrals Pink City

JAIPUR: Thousands of schoolchildren gathered here at the Sawai Man Singh (SMS) stadium and sang Vande Mataram on Wednesday morning.

The event began with artists singing patriotic songs, while schoolchildren holding tri-colours. Jagdish Pacharia, the media coordinator for the event said that thousands of schoolchildren participated in the event to sing national song, `Vande Mataram'.


The programme was organised by Rajasthan Youth Board (RYH) in association with the Hindu Spiritual and Service Foundation.


The school children danced to the tunes of patriotic songs. Over 300 artists led by legendary Bollywood music director Anandji.


The artists enthralled the audience with different symphonies of 'Vande Mataram'. The organisers also roped in National Service Scheme (NSS), National Cadet Corps (NCC), scouts and RSS volunteers for the management of the event.


The event was also attended by several college students who came to the event on buses. Heavy security arrangements were made inside the stadium with personnel from the reserve police line also being called for the security arrangement.
