60 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE on Thursday

NEW DELHI: As many as 60 stocks, including Axis Bank, Bharat Forge, Britannia Industries, Gulf Oil Lubricants India and Hexaware Technologies hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE on Thursday.

IFB Industries, Indian Bank, L&T Technology Services, Rain Industries, RattanIndia Infrastructure, Urja Global and Vakrangee were also among the stocks that hit fresh 52-week highs today.

On the other hand, Bharat Road Network, Gemini Communication, Lupin, Reliance Communications, Stampede Capital and Strides Shasun were among those 22 stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE.

Equity benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex remained rangebound on Thursday as investors adopted cautious stance ahead of Goods and Services Tax Council meet in Guwahati, scheduled later today, expecting slash in indirect tax in some sectors.

The Nifty50 index closed 6 points up at 10,309, while the BSE Sensex ended Thursday's session 32 points up at 33,251.

In the Nifty50 index, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Bharti Airtel, Bosch, ICICI Bank, Asian Paints, State Bank of India and Reliance Industries remained the top gainers.

On the contrary, ITC, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, Coal India, Bharti Infratel, Lupin, HDFC, Bajaj Finance and Cipla settled among the top losers.

With a gain of over 1 per cent, Nifty PSU Bank index remained the top gainer among the sectoral indices. All components of the Nifty PSU Bank index settled in the green on Thursday, with shares of Indian Bank surging 10 per cent.

Nifty Pharma index stood as the top loser among the sectoral indices, with 8 out of 10 stocks closing in the red. Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals settled in the green in the index.

Nifty Realty, media, auto and FMCG indices also closed in the negative territory.
