PHOENIXVILLE >> Democrats swept into all borough council offices Tuesday night, ousting one Republican councilman in the process.
Peter Urscheler easily won the three-way race for mayor, collecting 2,030 votes to Republican Dave Gautreau’s 1,140 and the 364 votes won by Green Party candidate Nate Craig. Incumbent Mayor Michael Speck did not seek re-election.
In the North Ward, former councilman Richard Kirkner was voted back onto council with 474 votes to the 379 won by Republican Sarah Peppel, according to unofficial results.
In the Middle Ward, Beth Burckley won 597 votes, ousting Republican incumbent Michael Kuznar, who won 346 votes.
In the East Ward, incumbent Jeremy Dalton took in 554 votes, easily outpacing his Republican challenger Dave Davis, who won 319.
And in the West Ward, incumbent Dana Dugan’s 515 votes towered over the 244 won by her Republican challenger Aisha Dawe.
