Foundation laid for buildings, website launched

Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami laying foundation for the fisheries college-cum-research institute at Thalaignayiru in Nagapattinam district, through video conferencing on Wednesday

CHENNAI: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Wednesday laid foundation for constructing buildings for the fisheries college-cum-research institute at Thalaignayiru in Nagapattinam district, through the video-conferencing.

The buildings would be constructed at an estimate of `12.25 crore. He also declared open laboratory and other buildings for the fisheries-college-cum research institute at Ponneri in Tiruvallur district, built at `10 crore.

He also laid foundation for buildings to be constructed at Muttam in Nagapattinam district for the college of fisheries engineering and sales stall and other buildings for Tamil Nadu Fisheries University complex at Madhavaram.

The CM then launched the updated website - htttp://www.tnhighways.gov. in - of the State Highways department and commenced issuance of appointment orders to 89 junior assistants.
