VIJAYAWADA: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) personnel of Andhra Pradesh are searching the house and properties of Medepalli Vijayaraju, an assistant commissioner in the state’s Endowments Department. They are said to have unearthed disproportionate assets having a market value of Rs 50 crore.

The ACB’s central investigation unit (CIU) DSP Ramadevi and her team started searching Vijayaraju’s residence in Nidamanuru near Vijayawada and a few other teams are conducting searches of other properties belonging to the officer, his relatives and friends in Vijayawada, Bhimadole in West Godavari district and in Hyderabad.

According to ACB sources, the 53-year-old officer amassed disproportionate assets through dubious means.
