AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria on Wednesday said, high levels of pollution in Delhi can lead to high chances of people suffering from Cardiorespiratory diseases which can further lead to increased emergency visits and higher deaths.

Addressing media persons here after pollution rose to dangerous levels, Guleria said,''This can lead to more chances of breathing difficulty, cough, chest tightness, people with underlying asthma, heart failure/problems will have worsening of the disease/symptoms.''
He also urged people to wear N95 masks and air purifiers in order to provide full-time protection from respiratory threats in the current pollution scenario.
