ROUGH CUT - SUBTITLED (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said on Wednesday (November 8) that China is 'handling' the case of the three UCLA basketball players who were arrested in Hangzhou, eastern China a day earlier. The players arrested were named as freshmen LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill, according to U.S. media reports which cited unnamed sources familiar with the incident. Ball is the younger brother of National Basketball Association rookie Lonzo Ball of the Los Angeles Lakers. The UCLA team arrived in Shanghai on Sunday (November 5) ahead of a game on Friday (November 10), when they will play Georgia Tech in both teams' regular season opener, according to statements from both teams. A U.S. State Department official said they were aware of reports of three citizens arrested in China and stood ready to provide assistance but had no further comment due to privacy considerations.
