Birthdays post marriage mean less single girls at the party: Vivek Dahiya

Once in a year on your birthday, the world stops by to raise a toast to you. It is a day when friends and family try to make everything more special for you. And things grow manifold when you are a star like Vivek Dahiya, and there is a galaxy of fans trying to bring a smile on your face. The Veera, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Kavach actor, who is married to popular actor Divyanka Tripathi, has turned 33 today and it’s causing a frenzy among his fans. But Vivek has chosen to be away from the buzz as he exclusively shared his plans with indianexpress.com, “I decided to spend the day with my family. My parents have flown down from Chandigarh and we have all come to Goa for a destination birthday. Since I share my birthday with my mom, it’s a double whammy for us.”

While birthdays are all about fun, there’s also a crazy side to it. The actor shared one such incident, “As a kid, I had once over invited people in the greed of getting more gifts. My parents had told me to invite about 50 people and I went on to call about 200. I received a major scolding and was even grounded for a few days for putting them on such a sticky situation.”

Vivek and Divyanka recently celebrated their first anniversary, just weeks after winning Nach Baliye 8. And while his lady love has been keeping her special plans close to her heart, Vivek has a hilarious take on how birthdays have become different post marriage. “There are less single girls at the party now,” he said with a puppy face smile.

We further asked the good looking actor that if a genie could grant him three wishes on this day, then what would it be. He added with a laugh, “The first one would be to get included in the Avengers team, second would be to own an island with a chopper and a sports car, and the third one would be that me and all the people close to me should always remain fit and fine, in good health forever.

Unlikely of an actor, Vivek is not bothered about a year adding to his age as he said, “You are only as old as you feel. And the most important thing in life like laughter and imagination will always be there. So it really doesn’t bother me.” Also talking about his dream birthday, he added, “It sounds really fancy and uber, so I would actually like to have a party in a private chartered plane with friends and the champagne flowing. Guess the family can also join in (winks).”

Lastly, when we asked him how would life be on his birthday in 2025, the charming actor quipped, “Well, Vivek will be a handsome, hot and sexy dad, doing well in life, ensuring the family is living very comfortably and spreading happiness around.”
