Two people were killed and another injured after a speeding truck hit their motorcycle on the Meerut-Karnal highway near Kamalpur village in Shamli district, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday when three persons were travelling on the motorcycle and collided with the truck.
The injured was admitted to a hospital in a serious condition, they said.
In another incident, a man was crushed to death by a speeding truck near Sakhawatpur village under Budhana police station in the district yesterday.
According to the police, heavy fog in the area could be the reason behind the accidents.
