Award winning teachers teach at this school

BENGALURU: Maruthi Vidya Kendra school which is built on a 5 acre land at Belagumba village of Tumakuru district was established in the year 2004 by Late K. Venkataramaiah. His vision was to provide quality education with the latest technology at affordable fee structure for all the rural children. The school runs under the Maruthi Education Trust and is affiliated to the CBSE. Currently there are 1,550 students from pre nursery to tenth standard. The 105 staff members includes teaching and non-teaching staff. The student ratio being one teacher for every 25 students. The staff includes four national award winning teachers from NCERT.

The school prepares students with the knowledge, discipline, and skills to succeed at the university level and contribute to the multicultural world of the 21st century.There are healthy interactions and communication between the faculty and students. Maruthi Vidya Kendra believes that the primary function of the campus is to build a conducive learning environment. Over the years, the school has also developed on a foundation based on effective management, committed staff and regular assessment of students’ work.
The curriculum at Maruthi Vidya Kendra is unique in its use of innovative thinking, multiple intelligence’s and differentiated instruction. The school recognizes the challenges of an inter-dependent and competitive international environment, and the need for our children to adapt to and excel in it.The school provides free education to the children of non teaching staff and other children who are economically backward.

One of the unique features in the school’s activities is that the students sing all religion prayers in the assembly. Students are also taught Bhagavad Gita and Hanuman Chalisa to improve their language skills.
The management encourages all the students to take part in the cultural activities. The school also has the ATL ( Atal Tinkering Lab ) established under the central government scheme.

Health and physical activities in the school include yoga and music (which are part of the curriculum), table tennis, kho-kho, volley ball, shuttle badminton, ball badminton, throw ball and many more indoor and outdoor games.

The school wholeheartedly supports RTE, and for the academic year 2017-18, 25 percent of the total seats have been allotted, as per the government norms. Since inception the school has secured 100 percent pass results in tenth standard says V.Muralidhara- Secretary.
