As many as 60 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE on Wednesday.
NEW DELHI: Shares of Bharti Airtel (Rs 2236.51 crore), Lupin (Rs 1078.69 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 1065.95 crore) and YES Bank (Rs 772.17 crore) remained the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE on Wednesday.

Shares of Reliance Industries (Rs 723.87 crore), State Bank of India (Rs 633.61 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 496.50 crore), HDFC (Rs 477.34 crore), Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 449.03 crore), Punjab National Bank (Rs 435.69 crore), Coal India (Rs 388.29 crore) and Ashok Leyland (Rs 386.45 crore) also remained most active in terms of value.

The NSE Nifty50 closed 47 points down at 10,303, while the BSE Sensex ended Wednesday's session 152 points down at 33,219.

Among the gainers, Tech Mahindra, Axis Bank, Asian Paints, Cipla, Sun Pharma, Bharti Infratel, Mahindra & Mahindra, Aurobindo Pharma, IndusInd Bank and Tata Consultancy Services remained at the top in the Nifty50 index.

On the other hand, Vedanta, Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors, Lupin, YES Bank, ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Hero MotoCorp, State Bank of India and Hindalco Industries emerged as the top losers in the Nifty50 index.

As many as 60 stocks, including Ashoka Buildcon, Axis Bank, Goa Carbon and KPIT Technologies hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE on Wednesday.

On the contrary, Cambridge Technology Enterprises, Dena Bank, Equitas Holdings, Jubilant Industries and Strides Shasun were among those 25 stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows.

Among the 51 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 22 settled in the green, while 27 settled in the red on Wednesday.
