NEW DELHI: Equity benchmarks pared some gains due to selling in bank, realty, metal and oil stocks.

The Nifty50 index was trading 1 point up at 10,453, while the BSE Sensex was 43 points up at 33,774 around 10 am (IST).

In the Nifty50 index, shares of Tata Consultancy Services (up 2.49 per cent), HCL Tech (up 2.21 per cent), Infosys (up 1.76 per cent), GAIL (up 1.47 per cent), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (up 1.30 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (up 1.14 per cent), Tech Mahindra (up 1.13 per cent), Wipro (up 1.12 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.84 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp (up 0.78 per cent) were trading as the top gainers.

However, YES Bank (down 3.18 per cent), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (down 2.28 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 2.26 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation (down 2.11 per cent), UPL Ltd (down 1.30 per cent), Reliance Industries (down 1.24 per cent), Indiabulls Housing Finance (down 1.02 per cent) and Bajaj Finance (down 0.99 per cent) were among the top losers.

In the Nifty50 pack, 26 stocks were trading in the green, while 24 stocks were in the red.

Over 90 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs, while 6 stocks hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE in Tuesday's trade so far.
