BHUBANESWAR: PRESIDENT of BJD Scheduled Caste Cell and former Rajya Sabha member Bishnu Charan Das, who embarrassed the State Government for his startling revelation on the Kunduli gangrape case, had to face the ire of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here on Monday. A visibly upset Chief Minister was seen scowling at Das when the latter dropped in at Naveen Nivas to meet him.

A nervous Das told mediapersons that the Chief Minister was angry with him as he was a bit late to reach Naveen Nivas. He subsequently changed his version saying he did not get a chance to talk to the Chief Minister as he was busy. “I will meet him and talk about the Kunduli issue whenever I will get an appointment,” he said. Asked if he will demand for a Crime Branch probe when he will meet the Chief Minister, Das said he will speak on the issue only after meeting the CM. Earlier on Friday, Das made a goof up alleging involvement of special operations group jawans in the Kunduli gang rape case in Koraput district as the accused were in military uniform.
