Air India flight to Bengaluru will now depart at 4pm

HUBBALLI: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has changed the timing of the Bengaluru-Hubballi flight as part of the winter schedule.

As per the new schedule, the flight will arrive in Hubballi at 3.30pm and depart at 4pm. The schedule has been enforced with immediate effect. Earlier, the Air India daily flight would arrive in Hubballi at 5.05pm and depart at 5.35pm.

The new timing is likely to be continued till December. During winter, fog is likely to pose a threat to flights during landing and takeoff due to poor visibility, so Air India authorities are not taking any chances and have revised the flight timing, which is common in winter across the country, sources said.

Shivanand Benal, director, Hubballi airport, said the new timing will be in force till the end of December. On Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the flight will arrive at 3.30pm and depart at 4pm, while on Tuesday, the flight will arrive at 4.55pm and depart at 5.25pm, he said. The new timings will be intimated once the winter season is over, he said.
