Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’s Ashok aka Sangram Singh to get married on December 25

The season of weddings has arrived in tinseltown. Now Punjabi munda Sangram Singh, who plays the vicious Ashok in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, is all set to take his nuptial bonds. The actor, who has been part of Punjabi films and a few episodic based shows became a sensation after being cast for the popular daily.

The season of weddings has arrived in tinseltown. With most actors opting for a winter wedding, it’s going to be a completely festive and joyous time around. Recently telly beauties Aashka Goradia and Bharti Singh announced their wedding date and incidentally it happens to be the same, December 3. Now Punjabi munda Sangram Singh, who plays the vicious Ashok in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, is all set to take his nuptial bonds. Revealing all deets exclusively to indianexpress.com, Sangram smilingly shared, “I am getting married on December 25 to Gurkiran Kaur. It’s an arranged marriage set up but I don’t think I could have found a better life partner.”

The actor, who has been part of Punjabi films and a few episodic based shows became a sensation after being cast for the popular daily Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. While he is at his best trying to create a havoc in Raman (Karan Patel) and Ishita’s (Divyanka Tripathi) life, audience love him for his persona, style and charm. Although he had been away from the serial, he will soon be back as he will have a pivotal part to play during the Budapest leg of the show.

Talking further about his marriage, Sangram said, “Our families knew each other for a very long time. They felt we could be ideal life partners and got us introduced. I guess they were right for we instantly connected and recently got engaged also. All my friends have been quite surprised with the development (laughs). Gurkiran is from Norway and works as a VAT consultant.”

Since Punjabi weddings are known to be a grand affair we further asked him about the preparations for his big day. “The wedding will happen in Amritsar amid families and friends. My industry friends will of course be invited as it is a very important day in my life,” he concluded with an excitement ringing in his voice.

The actor also announced the news on Instagram where he posted a picture with his fiancee with the words, “Taken”.
