Hyderabad will be hosting tech major Unity’s first ever global developer conference in India from November 8-11 that will focus on virtual reality/artificial reality and game development etc., along with the National Association of Software and Services Companies' (NASSCOM) Game Developer Conference (NGDC 2017) during the same time.

The Game Developer Conference will feature interactive entertainment through talks, panels, super-pitches, tutorials and more. NASSCOM will also recognise achievements in Indian games development and encourage the creation of gaming IP in India.

Rajesh Rao, chairman, NASSCOM Gaming Forum, said, “With an incredible line-up of international and regional speakers across eight tracks, NGDC 2017 continues to be the region’s go-to games conference for both regional developers and international visitors.”

Office bearers have pegged the footfalls to be anywhere between 1,500 to 2,000 people for the three-day conference.

Both the conferences will take place at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) with training workshops on the weekend of November 11.

Further, NGDC 2017 has also teamed up with India's foremost crowd funding platform Catapooolt to introduce ‘NGDC Catapooolt Game Changers’ to run a crowdfunding powered hunt. The initiative will provide a platform for fifteen contestants to exhibit their games on the show floor, as well as pitch them to an audience.

This year’s roster of speakers includes - Lawrence Valenti of King; Amit Hardi, CEO of India’s Nukebox Studios; Yuli Zhao, VP, Corporate Development of Yoozoo Games; Brett Bibby, VP of Engineering at ?Unity Technologies, Mark Skaggs and Chirag Ramchandani of Moonfrog, Paul Collins of Sticksports, Ben Smedstad of Forerunner, and games designer Mario Rizzo, among others.
