120 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Defying the bearish market sentiment, 120 stocks, including Arvind, Aurobindo Pharma, Bajaj Corp, Balkrishna Industries, Bharat Forge and Birla Corporation hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE on Tuesday.

Stocks such as Cipla, Delta Corp, Electrosteel Steels, Hindustan Copper, Motherson Sumi Systems, NBCC (India), Rain Industries, Raymond, Tata Consultancy Services, Torrent Power and Wipro also hit fresh 52-week highs today.

On the other hand, Rajdarshan Industries, Cambridge Technology Enterprises, Jindal Cotex, RattanIndia Power, Stampede Capital and Strides Shasun were among those 24 stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE.

Domestic equity markets closed in the negative territory on Tuesday due to sustained selling across sectors, except for IT.

Equity benchmark Nifty50 closed 102 points down at 10,350, while Sensex ended Tuesday's session 360 points down at 33,371.

In the Nifty50 index, top loser Lupin settled 17 per cent down. It was followed by Cipla, State Bank of India, Bharti Airtel, UPL and YES Bank.

Among the gainers, IT stocks led. HCL Technologies, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro remained among the top gainers of the Nifty50 index. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Bharti Infratel and IndusInd Bank were also among the top gainers.
