Manmohan Singh, the usually reticent former prime minister, is back with his critique of demonetisation and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now he has flagged serious impacts of note ban on the informal sector and independence of institutions. Right from the time when demonetisation was announced by Modi in November last year, Singh has been a vocal critic of the move. And his criticism has not been without subtsance.
