SHIMLA: Congress and BJP in Himachal Pradesh are not only worried about the presence of rebels on around a dozen seats, but they are also worried about the "backstabbing" by dissidents who have not revolted openly like rebels, but at the same time are not happy with the leadership issue on ticket distribution and other issues.

Ticket allotment has left many aspirants unhappy. In some seats even sitting MLAs were denied tickets. On seeing their leaders being ignored, even the supporters of such leaders are not happy. Sources said that presence of rebels and dissent of some leaders has also become a challenge for BJP and Congress as it can change their equations on some seats.

In Lahaul-Spiti seat, besides BJP the Congress is also facing challenge from own rebel leader Rajender Karpa who is contesting as independent and to support him even Raghubir Singh former Congress MLA and loyalist of Virbhadra Singh has resigned from the party along with his supporters.
