Net inflow of Rs 491.41 crore on 3 November 2017

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 491.41 crore from the secondary equity markets on 3 November 2017, compared with net inflow of Rs 1122.65 crore on 2 November 2017. On 3 November 2017, the Sensex had risen 112.34 points or 0.33% to settle at 33,685.56.

The net inflow of Rs 491.41 crore on 3 November 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4684.12 crore and gross sales of Rs 4192.71 crore.

There was a net outflow of Rs 43.02 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 3 November 2017, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4.40 crore and gross sales of Rs 47.42 crore.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 2281.70 crore from the secondary equity markets in November 2017 so far (till 3 November 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 4949.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in October 2017.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 5691.60 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 3 November 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 691.26 crore from the primary market & others' category in November 2017 so far (till 3 November 2017). They had bought stocks worth a net Rs 8004.46 crore from the primary market & others' category in October 2017.

FPIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 34689.86 crore from the 'primary markets & others' category in calendar year 2017 so far (till 3 November 2017). The net inflow from FPIs into the category 'primary markets & others' had totaled Rs 8471.76 crore in calendar year 2016.
