Maruti Suzuki India on Monday has launched the ‘Royal Platinum Extended Warranty Programme’ for extended assurance to its customers.

This programme, available as an option, will enable customers to protect their cars from manufacturing related defects for five years or one-lakh km, whichever is earlier, the company said.

The existing customers can upgrade to the programme with extended coverage for both the period and kilometres, warranty coverage for high value parts, free emergency road-side assistance and widest service network.

The five-year Royal Platinum Warranty, if bought within 60 days of purchase, ranges from ₹3,180 to ₹20,410 (excluding taxes), the company said. For instance, the service for Swift petrol, will cost ₹6,910 and for diesel, it will cost ₹10,120 (excluding taxes).

This unique programme is aimed to deliver peace of mind over a longer period while customers continue to enjoy unmatched service experience of Maruti Suzuki car care at our dealership network,” said Partho Banerjee, Executive Vice President (Service), Maruti Suzuki India.

The programme includes high value parts such as compressor, ECM and turbo charger assembly for any manufacturing defects.
