Titan shares soar 19% after Q2 earnings

The stock soared 18.98 per cent to end at Rs 784.55

At NSE, of the company jumped 18.78 per cent to close at Rs 783.70.

In terms of equity volume, 15.38 lakh of the company were traded on and over 2 crore changed hands at during the day.

Titan Company on Friday reported a 67.44 per cent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 277.93 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, on account of higher sales in its jewellery division.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 165.98 crore for the July-September quarter of last fiscal.

Titan's total stood at Rs 3,517.7 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 2,714.98 crore in the year-ago period, up 29.56 per cent, it said in a filing.
