GREATER NOIDA: A police constable and a driver of a PCR van were injured after a Roadways bus crashed into a PCR van on the NH-91 in the early hours of Monday. While the inspector seated inside the van jumped out of the PCR van to save himself, the driver and the constable suffered injuries.
The van (UP 16 AN3620) was completely damage in the front. The bus, going from Bareilly to Delhi, had many passengers none of whom were injured.
The accident took place near the toll tax in Dadri on the NH-91 when the Roadways bus hit the PCR van from behind, causing the van to overturn. While the inspector Kuber Singh jumped from the PCR van to save himself, constable Raj Kishore and the driver of the van from Gautam Budh Nagar police station.
The constable was taken to the Navin hospital in Dadri from where he was later discharged as none of his injuries were found to serious. Meanwhile, the bus and the conductor of the bus fled the spot.
Dadri SHO Ramsen Singh said that the matter was resolved after the Roadways authorities agreed to get the PCR van repaired. Police filed no complaint in the matter even as one of their own personnel was injured.
