NEW DELHI: Pharma stocks Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 1.12 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (down 0.42 per cent), Piramal Enterprises (down 0.41 per cent), Lupin (down 0.34 per cent), Divi's Laboratories (down 0.34 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (down 0.09 per cent) were trading in the negative zone in afternoon trade on Monday.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.16 per cent down at 9,882 around 12:50 pm (IST).

However, shares of Cadila Healthcare (up 1.63 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (up 1.31 per cent), Cipla (up 0.55 per cent) and GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals (up 0.05 per cent) were trading up around that time.

Equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty50 turned positive as a fresh spell of buying emerged in FMCG, metal and bank stocks.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 20 points up at 10,472, while the BSE Sensex was 108 points up at 33,793.

Among the 51 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 24 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.

Shares of Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, Bharti Infratel, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, UltraTech Cement, Aurobindo Pharma, ICICI Bank and Tata Consultancy Services were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, IndusInd Bank, Indian Oil Corporation, Sun Pharma, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Ambuja Cements and Zee Entertainment were among the top losers.
