Valuables worth Rs 1.20 lakh stolen from two houses

Surat: Unidentified burglars were booked at Umra police station on Sunday for stealing valuables worth Rs 1.20 lakh from two residences in Magdalla village near here in the past few days.


Three burglars stole cash, jewellery and mobile phone worth Rs 85,400 from the house of Kalpesh Patel, who is a transport businessman. Patel family was not in the city.


Some burglars stole cash and jewellery worth Rs 35,000 from the house of Valiben Patel (68). The theft was carried out in the house located at Patel Street in Rundh of Magdalla either on Saturday or Sunday night. Valiben has lodged a complaint at Umra police station about the theft. The burglars had entered her house after breaking its front door lock. tnn
