Samskara Sahiti, the cultural wing of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee, organised a street play “exposing the perils of fascism” against the backdrop of the murders of M.M. Kalburgi, Govind Pansare, Narendra Dabholkar, and Gauri Lankesh.
It was staged at Perambra on Monday. The play is being staged a day ahead of Padayorukkam political campaign undertaken by Leader of the Opposition Ramesh Chennithala. It has been written by Aryadan Shoukath, chairman of the organisation, and directed by Pradeep Payyannur. Dealing with issues such as demonetisation and the Goods and Services Tax, the play exhorts the people to wage a united fight against fascism.
