The BJP's candidate from Pachhad Assembly Constituency for Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections 2017 is Suresh Kumar Kashyap. Suresh Kumar is the current MLA representing Pachhad Assembly Constituency. Kumar defeated Congress party's Gangu Ram Musafir by 2805 votes in 2012 Himachal pradesh Assembly elections.
As it was in 2007 and 2012 Himachal polls, even this time the main contest is between Gangu Ram Musafir and Suresh Kumar Kashyap. In last elections, Kashyap managed to defeat 7 time MLA from Pacchad seat, Gangu Ram.
According to myneta.info, Suresh Kumar Kashyap is 46-years-old and a resident of Gagal Shikore Tehsil in Sirmour District. His assets are worth over Rs one crore and he has no criminal cases against him.
He is a graduate and hold an M.Phil degree in Public Administration from HP University, Shimla.
