Unidentified gunmen kill 2 policemen in northwest Pakistan

Unidentified gunmen today opened fire at a police team manning a check post, killing two policemen in northwest Pakistan's Mardan district.

The policemen, who were on duty at Shagonaka check post, tried to stop a car but the unidentified occupants of the vehicle opened fire on them, killing two of them, police said.


The victims were identified as Farhad and Muhammad Nawar.

One of them died at the spot while the other succumbed to his injuries at a hospital, police said.
