GURUGRAM: A team of officials appointed for common review mission (CRM), a monitoring mechanism under the government of India's National Health Mission, inspected government hospitals in Gurgaon on Sunday.
The team comprising 10 members inspected General Hospitals in Civil Lines and Sector 10. The team inspected the facilities, checked records of the hospitals and spoke to admitted patients to ensure transparency.
The team will stay in Gurgaon till November 10 and will also inspect all community health centres (CHCs) and primary health centres (PHCs). It will review the infrastructure, facilities to the patients, presence of doctors and staff, medical reports etc. It will also check the achievements and trends in service delivery at public health facilities in terms of outpatient, inpatient, deliveries and all surgeries, procurement and supply of drugs, diagnostic services, free drug initiative, blood transfusion services, AYUSH, biomedical equipment maintenance, public private partnership, adolescence health and NGO assistance in last three years.
"The team will review all healthcare infrastructure and adequacy of facilities in the district. Finances and budget of various schemes will be accounted. Importantly, the reviews will not be shared with any of the district officials, including those from the health department," said Dr M P Singh, medical officer, Gurgaon.
