Six caught consuming liquor in Botad village

Botad/Surendranagar: Gadhda taluka Congress president and five others were caught allegedly consuming liquor in a village of Botad district on Saturday night.


Thakarsinh Gadhiya, who is also the sarpanch of Ugamedi, was caught along with his five friends in a farmhouse. Police seized a half-empty liquor bottle at the spot.


In another incident, police arrested bootlegger Mahesh Shapara in Mulchand village and impounded 282 IMFL bottles worth Rs 66,600 from his car on Saturday night.
