Chris Hemsworth’s superhero film Thor: Ragnarok has become one of the highest Hollywood grosser in India this year. The film which opened at Rs 9.91 crores has earned Rs 27.66 crore till now. Wit and humour have always been the biggest strengths of most Marvel movies, along with their superhero action sequences.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#ThorRagnarok Fri 7.77 cr, Sat 9.43 cr, Sun 10.46 cr. Total: ₹ 27.66 cr Nett. GrossBOC: ₹ 35.46 cr. India biz.”

For various reasons, Thor: Ragnarok has been one of the most awaited films this year. It’s the third film in the standalone Thor film franchise and since Thor is also one of the major superheroes in the Avengers movie, the various happenings in his standalone film, will play a huge role in the upcoming crossover Marvel film, Avengers: Infinity.

The Hulk vs Thor moment had been one of the factors that had gotten fans on their toes. However, unlike the war between Captain America and Iron Man, Hulk and Thor’s battle had been a humorous one where jokes and action sequences happened simultaneously. Also, Dr Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) made a special appearance in the film.

After Logan, Guardians Of The Galaxy, and Spiderman: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok is the fourth release of Marvel superhero movies. Not just in India, but Chris Hemsworth’s movie is smashing records worldwide too. Thor: Ragnarok is expected to run successfully in India and worldwide without much worries about regional competitions until DC Comics’ Justice League releases at the theatres later in November. Like Marvel’s Avengers, Justice League will mark the coming together of all the superheroes of DC.
