Ghibran's music album for Theeran Adhigaram Ondru is tailor-made for this action thriller and the cop story that is explored in it. While the album hits stands this week, the promotions of the latest track 'Tinga Tinga' seem to have captured all the buzz on social media. With this folk track, a few other melodies and some cop movie-style fast-paced numbers, Ghibran's album boasts of five songs which have been sung and created by talented artists. Here is what we thought of the music album of this upcoming film, which stars Karthi and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles:

'Theeran Da'

Aravind Srinivas and Sarath Santhosh's song talks about the police's dedication and effort, and it will likely showcase Karthi as the angry young cop. 'Theeran Da' is quite similar to 'Roshomon' from the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer Solo, but its lyrics aren't as catchy.

'Oru Vettil'

'Oru Vettil' is the soothing melody of this album, with beautiful vocals by Shashaa Tirupati and Inno Genga. The lyrics perfectly encapsulate the different feelings couples people experience while being in love, and the cherished memories of the time they spend together.

With a change in beats in a few parts, 'Oru Vettil' has a catchy chorus which is sure to echo in your mind for a long time. This romantic track is definitely the best from Ghibran's latest playlist.

'Tinga Tinga'

'Tinga Tinga', labelled as the item number of this film, is a slow-paced folk number with a Rajasthani setup. The track features the antagonist of the film played by Abhimanyu Singh, and Scarlett Mellish Wilson who is seen dancing to Padmalatha's strong vocals. The song showcases the gangster world of the film.

The promo of this song, which was released last evening, reminds us of that one typical item song we come across in almost every entertainer, except this one is rather subtle and is anything but loud.

'O Sathiya'

Theeran Adhigaram Ondru seems to have the subplot of an intense love story in the midst of the crime that Karthi is chasing. And 'O Sathiya' sung by Armaan Malik depicts exactly that. With few variations of classical beats, this otherwise intense and gloomy track presents the craving for love and for The One.

'Sevatha Pulla'

'Sevatha Pulla' gives this album a peppy kick. KG Ranjith brightens up the feel of this track with his vocals, which exude happiness. Sevatha Pulla is the breath of fresh air in this otherwise intense album and definitely a happy heart track that you will find yourself humming every once in a while.

In Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Karthi plays the role of a cop for the second time after Siruthai, so listeners expected this album to be a high octane one like the last. But what Ghibran gives us this time is a playlist filled with varied emotions and many subtle tracks rather than a music album of a typical entertainer. It will be be interesting to watch how Karthi and Rakul bring to life to the romantic melodies of this album.

Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru is an action thriller based on true events. The film, also releasing as Khakee is Telugu, is directed by H Vinoth and produced by the Dream Warrior Pictures. It is set to hit screens on 17 November.
