GURUGRAM: A businessman and politician lodged a complaint on Friday against a woman and her associates for allegedly threatening to acquire and sell off his properties repeatedly. Police have lodged an FIR against nine persons, including the woman.
According to the police, advocate R K Mittal, a resident of Nirvana Country, Sector 50, alleged that a woman, who identified herself as Seema Mittal, and her associates called him frequently and threatened to kill him to grab his properties at Vrindaban in Mathura, Delhi and Gurgaon.
"They threatened me with dire consequences if I didn't give them said properties. Once they made a fake agreement to sell my land at Vrindavan at only Rs 2 lakh. The actual price of my property is nearly Rs 2 crore. I was living in Shalimar Bagh in Delhi, but moved to Gurgaon because the woman and his associates were trying to grab my home here. It is a big gang which is operated by the woman, Seema Mittal, but I don't know her and never met her. This gang has a unique modus operandi as they first identify properties and then make repeated attempts to sell off or acquire the same. The accused also threateneded to kill me, many times," Mittal said in his complaint. He also provided the mobile numbers of the accused in his complaint.
Mittal told TOI that he was related to a former Haryana minister and had contested the MCD elections from Shalimar Bagh.
"This gang once got a fraudulent aadhaar card in my name and even a death certificate to dispose off my properties at throwaway prices. I am seeking help from the police to nab the accused who threatened me repeatedly," Mittal added.
An FIR has been registered against Seema Mittal, Ravi Vats, Jagdish Chaudhary, Brijesh Mishra, Siya Ram Singh, Pehalwan Anil, Kanihaya Lal, Mintu Jain and Atul aggarwal, all residents of Vrindavan in Mathura, under sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of IPC at Sector 50 police station.
"We have also put the mobile numbers of the accused on survelliance. They will be arrested soon," said ASI Dharmbir Singh, the investigating officer in the case.
