IT firms agree to invest in AP

VIJAYAWADA: Several IT and Electronic companies came forward for investing in Andhra Pradesh.
During his two-day whirlwind visit to Bengaluru, Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh called on representatives of 22 IT and electronic companies.During the meetings, Lokesh elaborated about the opportunities and advantages with setting up their firms in Andhra Pradesh as the state government providing several facilities to investors and succeeded in attracting investments to the state.
Several companies in principal agreed to set up IT firms in Visakhapatnam and electronic companies in Tirupati and Anantapur.

Mindtree company Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Rostow Ravanan expressed willingness to start operations with 150 employees from a temporary office in Visakhapatnam. Mindtree is an Indian multinational information technology and outsourcing company.

Smile Electronics also came forward to invest in AP and assured Lokesh that they will commence operations once the AP government allocating land for them in Manufacturing cluster in Anantapur.
SLN Technologies Chief Executive Officer Anil Kumar assured to set up manufacturing company in Anantapur Manufacturing Cluster if the government allocating them 15 acres of land. SLN Technologies is a suppliers of systems and solutions for Military and Industrial applications.
