KANPUR: Severed bodies of two unidentified girls were recovered from Ramadevi Flyover railway track during the wee hours of Saturday. The police however could not be able to identify the deceased.
The bodies of the unidentified girls, aged around 22 years and 18 years, hacked into pieces were spotted on railway tracks at Ramadevi Flyover, a police officer at Chakeri police station said.
"Prima-facie it appears that the girls jumped before a train sometime in the early hours of Saturday. However, we are waiting for autopsy report before jumping any conclusion. Efforts are on to identify the bodies, which were spotted by locals at 4 a.m.," he said.
The bodies have been sent for a post-mortem examination. Further investigations are underway in this regard.
