The most anticipated film of the year, Padmavati, is all set to release on December 1. Ranveer Singh, who plays Alauddin Khilji in the grand epic, has wrapped up his portion for the saga and he shared this with his fans on Twitter. Ranveer tweeted, “And it’s a wrap! Goodbye Alauddin. 1 year and a few weeks later, I bid thee farewell. May your restless soul find its peace… #Khilji”

Along with Ranveer Singh, the film also stars Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic saga, Padmavati, has been embroiled in controversies with Rajput Karni Sena objecting to the film’s release. The group does not want facts to be misrepresented in the film and thus, caused various disruptions while the film was being shot in Rajasthan. Rajput Karni Sena has now demanded that Sanjay Leela Bhansali should show the movie to people of their organisation so they can check if the film is tampering with historical facts.

The trailer of Padmavati presented Ranveer’s menacing Khilji in all its glory and it would be safe to assume that his performance is going be applauded by the audience. This would be Ranveer’s third collaboration with Bhansali. The duo first worked in Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela (2013) and then worked together in Bajirao Mastani (2015). Padmavati’s trailer was also launched in 3-D recently.

Ranveer Singh was last seen in Aditya Chopra’s Befikre (2016). He has spent more than a year on Bhansali’s Khilji and we can expect this performance of the actor to completely blow away his audience.
