Chennai rains: Anna University, Madras University postponed exams indefinitely

Chennai rains: Schools and universities, including Anna University, have postponed their exams.

Due to heavy rain, several government institutions, including Anna University, have postponed the semester exams scheduled to held from Friday. As per the Registrar of the Anna University, the polytechnic exams have been postponed and the “revised date will be announced late.

The University of Madras and its constituent colleges are postponed to due to rain. As per reports, Ethiraj College for Women and Loyola College has also postponed its semester exam for the day.

Besides, the Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University has also postponed Friday’s examinations and the registrar said that the new “date will be announced later”.

Since October 31, schools and colleges were closed. But today they have been shut as well in Chennai, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts.

Chennai and its suburb have been experiencing monsoon showers for the last few days. Due to heavy rains last night, some Information Technology companies located on the IT Corridor allowed employees to work from their homes.

Last year too, due to heavy rains, many educational institutions had postponed the exam dates. The fresh date sheet or exam dates will be announced soon.
