BBC weather has predicted more rains in Chennai. According to BBC, Chennai will receive 300 to 500 mm more rains in the next few days.
"Chennai has already seen over 200 mm rain in the past 3 days. 300 to 500 mm more rain possible in the next few days," BBC weather reported.

Owing to heavy rains in Chennai over the past few days, there was poor visibility reported on the roads which led to many staying indoors. Following the rain forecast for Friday, schools have been ordered to remain closed.

The heavy rains affected movement of flights at the Chennai airport and also slowed down local trains on the Chennai Beach-Tambaram route.
