Velaikkaran song Iraiva is a melodious track amped up by Jonita Gandhi, Anirudh Ravichander's vocals
Iraiva from Velaikkaran is definitely a surprise package from Anirudh Ravichander. After giving us the year's cult kuthu tracks, Karuthavanlaam Galeejaam and Sodakku Mela, the composer does a mix of genres in Iraiva + Uyire, which expresses both love and pain.
The song starts as a soft melody in the first few lines and then jumps into rage-filled mode with the chorus. Through the song, Anirudh's soft vocals take you back to his albums from the past, especially Osaka from Vanakkam Chennai.
What adds to the feel of this track, which transcends into a different beat every few seconds, is Jonita Gandhi's rendition. The singer's parts go really well with Anirudh's attempt of showcasing varied emotions in one grand track.
Viveka's strong lyrics are perfectly translated by Anirudh, as the composer adds the right rhythm to parts like Uyire Vedum Vare Unoda Dhaan.

While Anirudh has already delivered many hits this year, looks like Iraiva is already a rage as well with many trends suggesting the same.
Now, what would be interesting to watch is how Nayanthara and Siva Karthikeyan transcend this much hyped song, which is a roller coaster of emotions, on screen.
Velaikkaran directed by Mohan Raj is all set to release in December.
