Smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has officially confirmed the existence of the next iteration of its flagship handset OnePlus 5. In an official blog post, the company’s chief executive officer and co-founder Pete Lau explained why OnePlus decided to retain the 3.5mm audio jack in its upcoming flagship smartphone.
Though the blog post did not mention an official release date or specifications for the device, it is expected that the next iteration of the OnePlus device will sport a 6-inch FHD+ Optic AMOLED screen in 18:9 aspect ratio and would be unveiled sometime in November.

Recently, In a photo post uploaded on Twitter by Evan Blass, a famous tipster known for sharing inside information in the technology space, the upper front side of the still unconfirmed OnePlus 5T was revealed. Based on the image, it can be assumed that the phone will have superslim bezels on sides and marginally slim bezels.
Based on earlier reports, the OnePlus 5T is also believed to have a big 6-inch Optic AMOLED screen of the 18:9 aspect ratio format with FHD+ resolution. Recently, online technology information portal Android Authority released OnePlus 5T’s purported picture render showing the phone from an angle revealing an almost similar build and a new wide screen and no fingerprint scanner on the front.
